Job Search Resources- Computers with internet, fax machine, copy machine, job posting board & binder, workshops and career counseling plus business directories and industry publications.
Pure Michigan Talent Connect is available seven days a week, 24-hours a day and is the state’s free job board and resume database. Creating an account on the MiTalent .org allows job seekers to post a resume & prolife for employers to view as well as search open positions.
Technology & Social Media- Free computer, fax and copying access
Workshops & Events- Workshops on resume writing, networking, interviewing, social media and more. Also, host job fairs, on-site interviews, guest presenters, and local talent events.
Career Management- Career planning, exploration and guidance utilizing assessment of skills and abilities with a Workforce Development Specialist plus assistance with resumes and interviewing skills are available. Access to job postings from area businesses, entrepreneurial and small business information are offered.
Training programs- Tuition assistance for skill upgrades and certifications¸ access to possible on-the-job training¸ internships and apprenticeship programs plus online Microsoft Office training and GED prep. Services will be based on funding and eligibility.
Veterans’ Employment Services – Disabled veterans outreach program pecialist is a veteran helping disabled veterans to find employment, build occupational skills, and access state and federal veterans’ service
