Goodwill's Get On The Bus Campaign

Access To Transportation Means Opportunity to Work
Times are tough in Southeast Michigan. Even for those in Metro Detroit who have jobs, the struggles remain. That’s because the number one barrier to employment for many people in our region is lack of transportation.
It’s simple: without a car and money for gas, many are literally stuck with few options to help change their circumstances.
Imagine their frustration. They want to work. They are able to work. But they can’t get to work because they lack a basic resource we too often take for granted: transportation.
How You Can Help
By donating to Goodwill’s “Get On The Bus” campaign, you can provide a means of transportation to help someone get a hand up, not a hand out.
Every $20 collection helps provide one person with transportation to work for at least a week.
Goodwill’s “Get On The Bus” campaign runs October 4-31, 2011.
